Father’s DayJune 19th, 2012 | Posted by in Post-Travel Posts
My First Father’s Day, yea!
Of course I got spoiled and we had a wonderful day with the girls. My day started with breakfast in bed (thank you Rosie and Lily :)).
Later in the afternoon we drove to the costal town of Howth and walked part of the National Looped Network, a coastal path from Howth to Sutton Cross. It was fairly windy but the girls were well wrapped up and enjoyed the fresh coastal air – laughing and giggling all the way – for about an hour and a half in total.
We finished off with a lovely meal in the Bloody Stream, a restaurant/gastro pub underneath Howth Dart Station, owned by the same group as the Angler’s Rest.
The girls were shattered by 7pm so putting them to bed was a breeze, they fell straight asleep. Sam and I finished off the day with a nice bottle of wine, yum!
Thank you Sammy, Rosie and Lily for making my day really special. I love you lots, always.
A special happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there but to our dads in particular, Tommy and Keith, we hope you enjoyed your day too! We were thinking of you.
