Big man in Nepal
August 13th, 2008 | Posted by in 03-NepalThe owner of our local bar which, unsurprisingly, we got to know quite well over the last few days says that I’m a big man by Nepaleese standards – Sam doesn’t seem to think so
.
Admittedly, I was bigger than him but I don’t think that I should generalise about the whole population. I think he was just trying to make himself feel good. A great guy and we had some laughs with him.
His grandfather was one of the founders of The Royal Chitwan National Park and aged 99 stills roams the streets throughout the day. He is well respected locally having published several books about the park.
The bar was so cool, just a straw hut along the river front, which also served cracking food. Did I mention you could smoke absolutely anywhere you want in Nepal, including bars and restaurants
.

Oi ! There’s nothing “thumbs up” about smoking you know. Naughty. I’d expect it of you Davey but not Samantha !
By the way, the courtyard clamour is rising for some posts from Sam…for all we know you could be lying about all this stuff !!!!
