Dinner at Claire and Jason’s
May 13th, 2007 | Posted by in Pre-Travel PostsA fitting end to a really relaxed weekend. Our friends and neighbour Claire and Jason invited us to dinner. Both are a dab hand in the kitchen. For starters, Jason served up home made duck and liver pate with toasted bagels. For the main course, Claire served up Coq Au Vin (Cock ‘o’ Van), a French fricassee of chicken cooked with/in wine. The food was absolutely delicious.
C&J recently furnished their cellar, which is now used at the entertaining room. Unlike our rabbit hutch, C&J have a large large 3/4 bedroom period house (grade II) with a massive garden, we are very envious. Its is stunning.
We had a great night eating, drinking, chatting and putting the world to right. It was great to catch up and thank you both for a great night. It’s definitely out turn next time.
