This is a photo I took today from our small office on the 18th floor of One Canada Square, Canary Wharf showing the Millennium Dome, the newly announced host venue for 2012 Olympics. I actually took it two minutes before the announcement……..

Our tower at Canary Wharf has 50 floors and is 800 feet high. It is the tallest building in Britain, which we share (among 49 other floors) with the London 2012 Olympic Bid Team – who received their long awaited seal of approval today.

London won a two-way fight with Paris by 54 votes to 50 at the IOC meeting in Singapore, after bids from Moscow, New York and Madrid were eliminated.

That’s a bid I should have been working on……………

I’d better say nice things………..they now know we have a Blog.

It had been some time since we caught up with Sam’s parents, so we decided upon a day fishing with the boys and a night in watching Live8 with some beers.

In all – I caught 4 fish…dreadful, although a clear winner………woke up Monday morning feeling like shite because of the 7 bottle of wine we consumed between three of us on the Sunday afternoon in the blistering heat – are we mad – you would think so….

Ignoring the consumption of wine – we had a fabulous weekend and it was good to catch up.

Here I am chill’n out – can life get any better than this…….?
