Before we show you any photos of Secret Gardens 2005, we thought we would show you what our house looked like in September 2003 when we bought it………

That is our front/side door (well – our only door)………

The back of the house – as we bought it!

Our house includes both the white and brown walls (it looks a bit odd with only one side painted, but hopefully in the future that will be sorted out).

After - This is our house today! – much credit has to go to Sammy who has worked extremely hard planting and weeding (although i do most of the watering :-)). With my course it has been hard to find time for hanging baskets and wall boxes.

The house as of Saturday 18th June 2005.

Secret Gardens 2005

The start of ‘Secret Gardens 2005′ – as you can see we were Garden No.2, or in our case courtyard No.2.

Every year the Aylesbury Old Town Residents Association (AOTRA) organise a Secret Gardens Event, whereby all residents have the opportunity to open their garden to the residents of the Old Town. It is a great chance to meet new and old neighbours within the conservation area.

This was our first year to open and we had 162 neighbours come through the ‘Archway’. Kim’s garden (which you will see some pictures of later) received tremendous feedback as being the ‘Ultimate Secret Garden’.
